proposal from industry expert Brian
Weatherley:
It’s long been a paradox that when it comes to reducing exhaust emissions from a truck engine, solving one problem doesn’t necessarily mean
solving all of them at the same time!
For example, measures to reduce NOx within the combustion chamber of a diesel engine can result in more particulates being produced. Equally important, trying to reduce NOx within the engine cylinder also has a detrimental effect on fuel economy. All of which rather defeats the object of creating a ‘greener’ engine !...
