What is Cummins doing for Euro 6?

Euro 6 is the toughest technology
challenge facing the commercial vehicle industry since legislation began in the early 1990's.

In May 2010 Cummins Darlington technical centre commenced the initial phase of the demanding three-year Euro 6 development project. Long before the new Euro 6 engines appear in normal production vehicles they will have completed more than 80,000 hours of

engine ‘bench-testing’ in the company’s state-of-the-art test facility, plus more than two million miles out on the road in order to refine and validate the new ‘green diesel’ technology. This will include operation in extreme hot and cold climates.
